Before I started this large canvas, I asked my 6 year old to pick a theme: mermaids, fairies, or princesses. She picked "all", so I incorporated all 3 themes into one. There are many, many layers to this canvas-did I mention how much I love gesso?

I've been working in my art journal a lot- learning how to create faces. This one is a little dark and intense. Not sure where in my head this came from.
