I Heart Bears

There's a new baby in the family so it's a perfect time to have fun with art. The layers were built up using paper scraps, acrylic paints, colored inks, stencils, and a lot of finger painting. 16"x 20" on paper.

This small (8×10) painting began with cutting small scrapbook papers of different sizes, adhering them with gel medium. Adding white gesso with a pallet knife gave the background texture. Mixed Media Painting

The painting was done over a used canvas I wasn't happy with by first covering it entirely with white gesso. I had a textured base to build new layers on. Using acrylic paints, I added new colors and vinyl letters.
