Right Now – Art Journal Page

I love putting interactive pieces into my art journals.  This page contains a flap that lifts to reveal the remainder of the journaling.  I took the photos with the camera in my computer and the program "photobooth."  I love using my art journal to capture a literal snapshot of myself at the moment — what's…

Junque Journal

This is a journal made from all the leftover bits of paper and other stuff just sitting around my studio.

Tell Your Story

This is an accordion album.  Each of the inside folds has a small shaped card sewn in.  Each card contains journaling.

Flower Canvas

This is a 6×6 stretched burlap canvas.  I painted the flowers and leaves and then added some simple embroidery to add texture and dimension.

The Sum is Greater Than the Parts

This is a personal piece.  It's many small quilts, each one about me in some way.  Each tiny quilt tells a story.  Together they create a profile of who I am.  The quilt is quite heavy because it is held together by a network of beads.   The two detail images I've spotlighted:  "He Loves…

Make Art Every Day

This is a canvas that I collaged, painted over, and then added these mini collages to.  Each mini collage contains fabric, paper, stamped and hand cut images, rhinestones, pearls, vellum, and so many tiny fun details.  The mini collages are each done on a scalloped circle base that is a little less than 2" across.

Mother Collage

This is a tiny delicious slice of girly-ness.  The opening of the frame is a little less than 2"x3".  I had fun mixing textures and colors, painting and layering, and creating something that felt like "Mom" to me.

Printer’s Tray

I filled this Printer's Tray with little treasures from my desk.  I wanted to create something from all the leftover bits and bobs sitting out, neglected and rejected from other projects.  Lots of hand painted goodies and a mixture of fabric, paper, and metal.  Interestingly, this tray ended up being a study in adhesives.…
