March is National Craft Month: Pass It On!

Mixed-media and collage artists have a lot of passion. And we're so lucky, because we're passionate about so many types of art and techniquesusually at the same time!

To celebrate National Craft Month, Cloth Paper Scissors Today and Interweave's other art and craft communities (Quilting Daily, Jewelry Making Daily, Sew Daily, Beading Daily, Knitting Daily, and Crochet Me) have chosen to "pass on our passion" for art and crafts by teaching a friend (or two or three . . . ) to create mixed-media art, collage, fabric art, jewelry, watercolor paintings, quilts, or any other technique or project you've always wanted to try throughout the month of March.

Personally, I'm passionate about so many art and craft genres, it's crazy. I like mixed-media fabric art, encaustic, sewing, monoprinting, and have also dabbled in knitting, crochet, and beading. I love sharing my experiences and techniques from our many talented artists with you, and I especially love hearing about your art passions and technique experiences.

Right now, I'm passing on my passion for mixed-media fabric art to my daughters and sharing encaustic techniques with a coworker whose specialty is sewing and knitting (I sure hope she can teach me to read a knitting pattern).

How will YOU pass on your passion? Leave a comment about it to win!
