Where Did the Spring (Studios) Go?

13 Apr 2010

We're sending the Summer 2010 issue of Cloth Paper Scissors Studios off to press this week and I am both excited and relieved. Excited because this is one of our most colorful issues, with a wide variety of studios and a lot of new features thanks to our expanded format . Relieved because my studio is done at last--and I took it right down to the wire.

In fact, I was so immersed in the upcoming issue that I didn't notice something important--the Spring 2010 issue of Studios had sold out on our website! We were able to get some extra copies from the printer, so there are some now in the Interweave store, and you might still be able to find some in book and craft stores.

But the bottom line is, if you haven't gotten your hands on a copy yet, you better hurry. You don't want to miss 101 organization and storage tips, Elsie Flannigan's super-hip space, Susan Fabian's perfect playhouse or Jenn Mason and Shona Cole's tips for combining art-making with kids.

Be sure to check out our Online Extras for that issue, too.

In the meantime, here's a sneak peek of our Summer issue, on newsstands May 18.

...more to come!

Do you know if Spring Studios was ever available in northern Alberta?  I couldn't find it anywhere including Michaels.  I'd love to see the issue!

You should be able to find Studios anywhere you would buy Cloth Paper Scissors. And you can always find it--as long as it isn't sold out--on our website, shop.clothpaperscissors.com.

Thanks, sounds like the best thing to do.  Some of the stores still had the winter issue of Studios.

Hello Cate, I am delighted to say I do have my Spring issue of Studios and LOVE the final results of your studio makeover!  The porch - what an inspiration!  May you always find joy in creating there!  Thanks to your story, a dear artist friend of mine is coming over this weekend to help me sort out my own disaster of an art room/studio to prepare for the installation of floor-to-ceiling adjustable shelving in the giant closet there. Then I'll transform the storage area off the studio space so I can have multiple work areas up and running at all times.  I hate having to put things away when I'm needing all my tools at hand!  Thank you for the push I needed to get me moving forward! And, thank you for publishing one of my suggestions for your studio space.  What an unexpected honor!  Wow!  I actually jumped up and down when I saw it!
