Announcing the 2012 Artisan Finalists!

Drumroll please!

I am happy to announce the following 25 finalists for our Artisan Search 2012!

The judging was difficult, but we’re excited to see the the art in person. Below is a list of the finalist names and their username so that you can see their uploaded photos. Please note that uploading photos was highly encouraged but not required.

All 25 semifinalists are required to ship their 3 original art pieces (pictured in their entry photos) to the Cloth Paper Scissors offices ATTN: 2012 Artisan Search, 490 Boston Post Road Suite 15, Sudbury, MA 01776 (Please note the address change) by October 5, 2011. Artwork will be kept for up to one year, with all art returned to artists by November 2012.

The semifinalists’ artwork will be judged by a special panel, and the Artisan 2012 winners will be announced October 14, 2011, by Editorial Director Pokey Bolton and Editor Jenn Mason on their blogs at clothpaperscissors.com. Note: By entering the Cloth Paper Scissors® Artisan 2012 search, you are authorizing Interweave Press LLC to publish your art in upcoming publications and promotional materials, on our website, and in other Interweave e-media, as well as possibly display it at shows. Interweave Press LLC will not be held responsible for loss or damage due to circumstances beyond our control.

Congratulations!  I'm excited to see the final results.  Will we get a peek into the other entrants' and semifinalists' work once the final selection has been made??  Even if only online, would love to see.
