Photo Friday–Slushy

28 Dec 2012

Bleck! Slushy, cold, icy piles of snow. It’s inevitable this time of year—unless you’re in warmer climates, of course. The thought of the chill of the icy sludge seeping down the insides of the boots is enough to make me want to hustle to a warm fireside seat with a new magazine (Cloth Paper Scissors don’t ya know!) and get all cozy. Whether you’re planning on a cozy warm new year wrapped in the love of your family, or a raucous celebration in Times Square, I hope you’ll put your best foot forward and try new collage and mixed-media art techniques in 2013!

Photo Friday Slushy

Do you find this Friday’s photo inspiring? Does it chill you to the bones and make you want to run to the warmth of your art space? Or are you encouraged to bundle up and take on the elements?

Could you use the image as inspiration to take your own wintery reference photos, or maybe use it as a background for a snowy quote in an art journal?

What ever you’re inspired to create, I hope you’ll share it with us by uploading a picture here!

Happy Photo Friday and Happy 2013!

Cheers!

Looks like "Best foot forward" into 2013.........

Have decided to try at least two new media this coming year after  reading the Bucket List issue.  Love all the ideas.

Looks like the tiny footprint is just below the thumb of a handprint. I see a large hand. Does anyone else?

I see it SallyTC. This is Dawn and I love the optical illusions Mother Nature sends us from time to time. I'm a cloud watcher, too. Have a great New Year!
