photo friday–fabric flowers

I’m so excited to share this photo from the Clover booth at CHA last week. These beautiful Kanzashi flowers were all made using their cool new templates.  I can’t wait to see what mixed-media artists can do with these flowers.

IMG_3578Today I’m hoping my photo inspires you to do a little mixed-media stitching! Perhaps you’ll die fabric and create floral-fabric collages, or maybe you’ll try to build your own Kanzashi-style flowers to create a stunning fascinator or other wearable embellishment.

Love fabric flowers…I have an old article from the 70s I downloaded way back, it has about four different methods of flower-making using fabric.
