This month I’m celebrating my #oneword “give”. I’m so glad to have you along for the journey. To read more about my #oneword adventure for 2013 click here. Check out the links at the bottom of this post to read more about other “giving” situations!
Today and every Friday, I “give” you a photo to inspire you to make art, dream, create, or ponder. If you’re not already familiar with our Photo Friday blog posts, I encourage you to check it out.
What is better than texture? Sure a smooth and dreamy homemade vanilla ice cream can be a delightful treat in the middle of the hottest days of summer, but I’d still prefer a nice chunky mix-in dairy treat.
I dig texture in my wardrobe, art, and even in flower arranging. I once had the opportunity to throw a little party for my nearest and dearest girlfriends at a rather posh flower shop. The main entertainment was watching a delightful young Frenchman give us a flower-arranging lesson. How chic! What we all loved most about Christophe's class was his description of adding texture to an arrangement. He called the flowers calm and nervous. That is what he said made a perfect arrangement beautiful.
So in honor of nervous texture, today’s photo is a nervous background. If it looks familiar to you, you may recognize it from my blog from yesterday.
I double-dog dare you to find a good, calm addition to add to this photo and then upload it to the Photo Friday Gallery!
