2015: The Year of Color Explorations, Art Lessons Vol. 1 with Gina Lee Kim

This year our Art Lesson series is all about color exploration. If you are thinking to yourself "Oh, I always use color," I encourage you to check out these Art Lessons to bring your work to the next level. Or, if you have a fear of color and find yourself using the same colors over and over, these lessons will teach you to use color like a pro. The first four lessons of the year will be taught by the wonderful watercolor artist Gina Lee Kim. Then discover color through the eyes and styles of two other great artists: Jenny Cochran Lee and DIna Wakley!

If your new year's resolutions include art, then I am happy to report that the January Art Lesson, The Power of Red with Gina Lee Kim is available for you to get started right now! (Plus, it is only $3.99! Seriously, becoming a better artist has never been so easy OR cheap!)

So, what will you learn about the power of red? Everything! Mixing with it, different brands and their shades of red (Gina even provides an awesome chart for you), and you will learn how to use red to balance and add oomph to your compositions. (Choosing the right complements for your piece is not always easy, especially in mixed media, where we have to account for texture, dimension, and color…*goodness*.)

Gina covers all of this and then some! Go through her two mixed-media exercises and you will learn the true power of red.

P.S. After you master color, check out the SALE on older Art Lessons! $1 and less! WOAH!
