Pokey Bolton
EDITORIAL DIRECTOR

Pokey Bolton was introduced to art quilting and the related fiber arts in 1998, and ever since she took her first stitch (a fly) and embroidered her first motif (a spider), she has been entangled in this art form and doesn't envision herself free. Art quilting and mixed-media have, quite literally, taken over her life--so much so that she left her doctoral program and full-time teaching job to found Quilting Arts Magazine®, and later with her husband John, Cloth Paper Scissors® magazine. She and John (now a Vice President at Interweave) have a menagerie of animals, some of whom make an appearance now and then at Quilting Arts headquarters. Pokey is also the host of Quilting Arts TV on PBS, and when she isn't at the office or a taping, she can be found in her studio at home--her absolute favorite place to be!

Jenn Mason
EDITOR

I am a work in progress.

If I take one step at a time, I'm less likely to rush past the extraordinary.

I encourage others to live more creatively every day. I am a mother, artist, sister, daughter, author, singer-in-the-shower, period movie fan, lover of laughter, designer, teacher, friend, swimmer, and editor of Cloth Paper Scissors® magazine.

Barbara Delaney
ASSISTANT EDITOR,
CLOTH PAPER SCISSORS AND STUDIOS

I have been with Cloth Paper Scissors since the premier issue and I enjoy everything that is involved in getting a magazine out the door. It is a real treat working with artists, seeing their artwork, and getting to spend time with some of them at Festival each year.

New to Studios, it's been fun “seeing” all of the different art spaces and discovering everything that's involved in setting them up.

I have always loved working with fabrics and especially like the relaxing rhythm of hand stitching. Beading is another fun pastime.

I have lived in Massachusetts most of my life; have three wonderful, grown children; and I am a die-hard Red Sox fan.

Cate Prato
EDITOR, STUDIOS

I'm a lifelong writer and editor who has been with Cloth Paper Scissors since it's debut in 2004, giving me a way to justify my fabric and paper habit. I'm editor of Cloth Paper Scissors Studios and Online Editor for Quilting Daily.

My book, Mixed-Media Self-Portraits, Inspiration & Techniques (Interweave), was published in 2008. I dabble in an ever-widening variety of art media, primarily fabric collage and embroidery.

I live with my husband, two teenage daughters, and various pets in an antique home in central Massachusetts. I brake for vintage fabrics and linens, and the occasional roadside table and chair.
