Heat Gun - need some feedback please?

Looking to purchase a heat gun but am overwhelmed -- from the crafty little ones at Michaels to the 20-pounders at Ace Hardware - ??!! What I need it for is reconfiguring pieces of recycled plastic . Any recommendations?

I wonder if its possible, given that you have a readership from around the world, whether online events could be posted with GMT as well as your local time? We can use our computers to work out what local time these events will take place if there is a GMT alternative. There are time-convertors online, a link to one of those would be greatly appreciated as an alternative. I have no idea what Mountain time is! Is it the same as Central time? I doubt anyone who lives outside the US would be able to say what they were without having to check elsewhere, then add or subtract summertime or winter time.

It makes it very hard for the rest of us to work out if its worth registering for a webinar or not if we have no idea what time it will be held.

Hi, I will be driving from Phila to Somerset very early Wed morning (unless you are also interested in leaving Tuesday evening) and coming back Sunday afternoon. I am taking a workshop every day and would love to share a room with one or more people. I think it would be fun to share with each other what we learned and created during the day and maximize our spending dollar for Friday night.

I am a non smoker and am pretty quiet. I am respectful of other people's needs. And I am sooo excited to participate in this event. It is my first ever!

Let me know if you need a ride, or if you want to share a room.

I'm a retired English teacher currently living on the Gulf Coast in Florida. I have three grandchildren (twin boys almost 3 and a grand daughter 1 1/2). When I am not playing with the Grands, I am knee deep in paper and glue. I have just started doing some salvage art and love it. Can't wait to get to know you all better.

Two days ago I received a text from my classmate which read "is there anything you want me to bring to class?"

My response was, "cloth and paper."

Her reply was, "any particular type?"

The next thing I texted was "magaz."

I was working at the time and was unable to spell out magazine due to being too busy.

When we met up she has wonderful fabric swatches and a roll of paper. This was hilarious.

My classmate Lu loves to share great things from art supplies to fresh vegetables to "Cloth and Paper."

During our previous class she asked me if I wanted more Cloth *Paper. Naturally, I said yes.

How to finish mixed media pieces?

Hello! I am using acrylic paint on canvas and (on a separate piece a hard board canvas (not sure what this is technically called). I am unsure on how to finish these. I like the high gloss look, but can I use that on pieces that may combine cardboard, other thick papers, fabrics, sometimes beads?

Will I have to use a spray gloss finish or can I use a liquid?

Any help is appreciated, thank you

Hello all, I am a crafter and artist in the UK. Having acquired a copy of the magazine I was inspired to make my first stuffie critter.The shape was suggested in part by the abstract print and the result resembles a seahorse/bird cross I have called Flutter Buttons, I enjoyed making him so much I can't wait to try more. I love all things unusual and this magazine is the best I have seen for that. Enjoying all the articles and have downloaded some of the free E books, thanks for them!

I am wondering if I might find more satisfaction in working smaller instead of bigger. I have been stuck for quite a while and I tend to work large like 18x24. I would like to produce more art in the short periods of time I have to work. I was taught to work bigger many years ago by art teachers. When I paint something I want to put over the couch so to speak I can see that but in mixed media maybe working smaller would help me right now.

I am driving from Massachusetts and checking in on Wednesday July 16, checking out on Saturday July 20.

Anyone interested in sharing travel and room? I can pick up in Massachusetts and drive. I have a very economical and comfortable car.

I booked a room with two double beds and total cost for the room is 675. Divided by two, total cost would be about 338 for the stay. Gas would cost 40 each round trip.
