I have a cream colored wool sweater with snow white seed and bugle beading. It is retro back to the 40's or 50's and is just beautiful. Unfortunately, it was improperly washed and is shrunk. It was my mother's and I would like to do something with it since I cannot wear it. The beading is flowers but only as accent, not all over. The neck and cuffs are seed beaded.
Any ideas what I can do with it, I hate to discard it.
How about turning it into a pillow . . .
You could make a special purse or even Frame the best parts in a shadow box with other mementos of your mother.
Wash it in hot water and dry in a hot tumble cycle to felt it. Then, the sky's the limit----make it into an evening clutch, a collage focus.......
