Water-soluble Stabilizer

How to use water soluble stabilizer

What is water soluble stabilizer?

Also called water-soluble fabric, wash away stabilizer or dissolvable fabric, this is fine polyvinyl fabric that feels like very thin plastic. It disappears in cold or hot water (depending on the brand and its use) after it has been stitched on, leaving only the stitching. It can be used for several purposes, including: to keep embroidery stitches from sinking into plush or pile fabrics; to trace on and use as a stitch guide; for lace patterns; and for felting techniques.
