Mary Beth Shaw shares her mixed-media secrets at Art Journaling Live

A very special event is happening on June 18th: Art Journaling Live is coming to Arlington, Texas. The day-long event features classes by four amazingly talented teachers: Mary Beth Shaw, Dina Wakley, Nathalie Kalbach, and Julie Fei-Fan Balzer. Have you signed up yet? There are just a few spaces left. Let's face it–when are you going to get another opportunity to learn incredible techniques from these four artists, techniques you can use in your art journal, on canvases, cards-anything!

Mary Beth Shaw is a mixed-media artist and owner of StencilGirl Products, artist designed stencils that are a must-have in your supply stash. For her class she's designed an exclusive stencil that you'll get to keep when you sign up for the workshop.

Here's a sneak peek from Mary Beth on what she'll be teaching in "The Abstracted Art Journal."  ~ Jeannine

"It will come as no surprise to anyone who follows my art that I choose to journal in an abstract way, where my page spreads serve as experiments about color and composition. I even alter my handwriting so that it is disguised and becomes a part of the composition. I like to use my journal pages as inspiration or a jumping off point for my paintings.

"When preparing the journal pages, it is important for me to create my own collage components, such as original painted tapes, stickers, and tissue pages. I realize there are many beautiful collage items for sale today, but I enjoy making my own 'parts' with paints that match my palette. For me, making my own components gives me a lot of satisfaction.

"At Art Journaling Live you'll learn lots of my favorite tips and tricks, and we will work together to prepare an abstract page spread. I hope I get to see you there!"

Sign up today and treat yourself to an awesome experience!
