words of inspiration
Roberta Philbrick of North Carolina keeps her magazines organized and adds interest to her bookcases with words and sayings.
“For my magazine storage I like to use ‘word quotes’ on the backs of magazine holders so that my studio looks neat and I have motivation and inspiration from the quotes when I look around my studio,” says Roberta. “The quotes dressed up my somewhat ugly kraft paper holders; now they don't look bad in any room in the house and on all my bookcases. When I want to find some inspiration from my magazines, I just turn the holders around and read the labels on the fronts of the kraft boxes to find the issues I'm looking for.”
everything nice
Samantha Conklin of Converse, Texas, has repurposed a spice rack to store beads, shells, and fibers.
lovely lace
Lace, ribbons, and buttons store neatly in tall glass jars and vases in Cindy DeLuz’s studio in Lodi, California.
wall storage and decorative box
A fabric wall hanging with pockets of varying sizes keeps supplies close by and easily accessible, while a collage-covered box decoratively houses buttons in Annette Dupree’s Marshfield, Massachusetts, studio.
I love, love, love the quotes on the backs of the magazine holders. I have these and plan to do that also. Love it!!!!
I repurposed an old spice wheel to store my extra beads, I love to recycle anything that can be used to store art supplies and add to the 'flavor' of my art room:)
I love the quote SPend Some Time Alone Every Day....These pics are all great ideas.
because of my back(I am not able to bend at all) so I have had to be very quirky and I use nappy holders that hang from a nail for hanging all my towels, plastic table covers etc. in. I get them from the op shops here in Australia. I also reuse stuff from the kitchen for my beads and all small stuff. People throw them out all the time. My favourite places to shop are the op shops and the transfer station (which is where people dump their better items instead of in the garbage bin) Just love it. I found someones stash of materials the other day.
omg, these ideas are so great. I can learn from you so much. Thank you Jara
