Hi Mary Jane!  I love the rich textures in the background of this portrait, and I think the expression on the woman's face is masterfully rendered!  I need to learn how to better create faces for people in my artwork, and your portrait offers much to learn from.

This is a beautiful piece... the background holds the subject very well as she looks out at the viewer with great limpid eyes...

The cloth  V is irresistible, framing her lovely skin.
