Think of all the colorful and inspiring images you come in contact with every day, especially in the warmer months as we spend more time outdoors. Individual flowers, beautiful gardens, seashells, beach and seascapes are just a few of the things that come to mind.
At this time of year, my favorite place to spend time is at the beach. The sounds, the smells, the colors, and of course the ocean draw me in.
That's why Serena Wilson Stubson's Painted Paper Ornaments in the July/August issue of Cloth Paper Scissors caught my eye. Serena chose to paint little sailboats on colorful seas, but you could paint just about anything you like. These flat, circular ornaments are the perfect size for trying out new media and ideas. |
