This art journal is an altered address book; I bought a new planner and had no use for the little address book that came with, but didn't want to throw it out. So I decided to use it as an art journal. I liked that the tabs allowed me to find each page easily.
I like to carry my art journal with me everywhere I go, and this one was the perfect size to keep tucked in my purse or in my back pocket at work.
My process is to work on a bunch of different pages at once–sometimes I will glue something down and not come back to it for a few days or weeks. In the above image, I loved the concentric circles on the gum wrappers and I glued them in and didn't come back and put the self-portrait on until a few weeks later.
