A sample of my favorite printmaking method, linoleum block prints. Big Blue is carved from a 16 x 12 inch piece of standard unmounted linoleum. It is then inked and printed by hand. I do not currently have a press large enough to accommodate a block of this size so it is printed the old fashioned way by hand rubbing from the back to transfer the ink to the paper.
