Bones – prayers go up, bones come down

This faithful little Doxie is praying for bones, and the prayers are being answered.  The quote on the tree trunk is "If a dog's prayers were answered, bones would fall from the sky."  The 12" by 18" canvas is base painted in acrylics, and the tree was painted later. The dog was painted on watercolor paper and added to the scene.  The bones are paper and fabric and the letters in the word "BONES" are Scrabble pieces. The accents at the bottom are paper and wood.  The angel cutout  and the little rabbit I painted keep watch over the little Doxie and the falling bones.
