carving a woodblock using Japanese tools

I love the feeling of carving plywood.  I work with both beautiful shina plywoods from Japan, and plywood found in the neighbor's scrap pile. The key is using very good, very sharp tools.  Mine are Japanese tools that are held such that you are carving towards yourself – it looks scarier than it is!
