Fragments Mixed Media Fabric Necklace by Sally Evans

When you like to sew, there are always scraps of fabric and fragments too pretty to throw away.

I created this necklace with three bias fabric tubes: a hand dyed orange and red silk with bits of the batik rayon, red and orange batik rayon, and olive green linen.

The focal point is a randomly pieced shape wrapped around and attached to the bias tubes.  It has an accent of a button and bead dangles from parts of an old necklace.

For color, texture, and additional interest, copper and brass eyelets were attached to the tubes along with copper washers.

There is a wood leaf dangle designed to hang at the back of the neck.
