Girlhood Deconstructed

"Girlhood Deconstructed" is a 16×20" piece on gallery-wrap canvas. I had bought the beautiful red corduroy doll coat in an antique store, knowing that it would inspire a work of art. This piece incorporates many additional elements including acrylic paint, decorative papers, a Barbie doll, a photo on Extravorganza, heart brads, a tiny wire hanger, a Minnie Mouse figurine, a miniature doll and cradle, a doily, book pages, pieces of a "baby girl" greeting card, ribbons and beads. Finally jacks edge the entire piece and are included on the front.
