I have been making rag dolls for a few years now and sell them in St. Petersburg, FL at local shops. I sold many dolls at Cherie's, and since they closed last year, I now sell at Artful Living. I have an etsy shop too where I sell many different things that I make and also mail art subscriptions. I am a painter and a mail artist too. My husband recently left me so I now use "Koshark" as my last name for art ventures, but, if you google "Jennifer Zoellner" you will see I am involved in art projects all around the world. Last year I made the top 10 dolls for the Momiji cloth doll contest and my doll was featured in a Los Angeles, CA gallery show. I am currently curating a mail art show that will open September 11th at the Artpool Gallery in St. Petersburg, FL. I have two blogs. One is for mail art that I receive… www.jenniferzoe.blogspot.com and the other features my art and thoughts and is: www.wee-hoo.blogspot.com . A piece of my mail art was on the cover of the "Good Mail Day" book and on page 115.
This Gretchen rag doll was made with recycled clothing, vintage buttons, vintage kitchen towels, wool felt, poly and bamboo fiber stuffing, hand and machine sewed. Created with love from my many rag doll drawings and paintings. She also has a treasure pocket that has a hand painted (by me) wooden Japanese doll.
