High Diving

A friend gave me a box of his tin toys from his childhood collection that had been salvaged from Katrina.  After saving them for several years, he finally decided he couldn't reclaim them and wanted to give them up to a new home.  The blimp was an especially interesting piece that was full of opportunities for interesting titles and visuals.

As much fun as it would be to simply float away on a blue blimp, daily life needs boundaries and limitations.  The grid of the checkerboard, the cardboard file page, and fishing weights, all remind us of work and responsibilities.  But the book excerpt reminds us to jump out of the race and take the plunge once in a while,

Made from found objects and treasured memories.
