This is one of a series of quilts based on the classic fairytale, Jack and and the Beanstalk. After sketching my design on white muslin, a combination of fabric paints, oil pastels, acrylics and watercolor pencils are used to color the drawing. Hand and machine stitching. Dog entirely created with thread painting. Sculpey, yarn, piping and commercial prints are used for accents and dimensional effects.
What a fun piece! I love the expressions on their faces.
