Jane Jennings, A Stitch in Nine Saves Time

Subtle colors from my large collection of hand-dyed Indonesian batik fabrics are fused onto a wood box from that has been covered with acid-free foam core board. The center insert features a clock referring to "saving time". The fabric pieces are placed onto the board "puzzle style", with individual pieces carefully cut and attached with no overlapping edges. This creates a smooth surface appearing as if it were one piece of fabric.
