A mixed-media stitched Trapunto sampler inspired by the Japonaiserie style that captures Koi fish and water lilies. The mixture of media include an original ink pointillism drawing on cotton, embroidery, bead work, Trapunto quilting and silver wire embellishments of the Koi. Finished size: 215mm x 410mm. My name is Cherry Barlowe (aka Qershi), I was born in Perth, Western Australia and I am driven to create, which inspires me to try all techniques and mediums but my favorite include beads, silver wire, polymer clay, embroidery, drawing, hand and digital painting/ illustration. Together these mediums lead to mixed-media creations such as this Trapunto sampler, miniature sculptures, jewelry and illustrations.
