My artist’s studio is a humble, ramshackle little shack. I named it Zolotah, or Gold, (in Russian) because I believe that to have your own special place to create art is golden. And that space need not be fancy. If you open the door to my little studio, you will discover that the walls on the inside are pink and covered in all sorts of glitter and sequins. (The door does open.) The outside is made with various papers, including an old Russian newspaper, wool, metal, recycled jewelry and paints.
