My felted artwork, Felicity, was made by felting wool blanket (woven and knitted) and sweaters in the washing machine, then needle felting the pieces together to form the quilt top. To secure the edges, I free form appliqued with my sewing machine. The details are painted or colored with paint, paint pens, copic markers and prismacolor pencils. The back ground detail is needle felted with wisps of silk and wool. I backed and bound with my own hand dyed fabric. The pattern is my own.

Your work is so creative, love the mix of media you used…and Felicity looks really sweet!
Thank you, Tahnesa!
A Piece of fun art and good use of mixed-media recycled goods were used..Well done..
Kind regards Sarah Dawson-Spackman
Felicity has so much to tell, I’d love to hear speak! I love this idea of painting the felt, I’ll have to try it. Felicity is great, great use of mixed media.
She’s lovely – you can almost hear her voice! I like the way you’ve done the dress.
Thank you for all your kind comments. Can you see Felicty as a kingergarten teacher, with her hands on her hips, saying, “Inside voices, children. Inside voices.”
