I saw these cherries in a dream one night and thought I would try to quilt them – then saw the fabric swatch challenge and decided to try and paint them. I soaked the white fabric in coffee then let it dry. To get the graining I painted a rough sawn board with gray acrylic mixed with Liquitex Fabric Medium, layed the fabric over it and rolled it with a brayer. Drew the cherries, flowers and leaves and then painted them with Jacquard fabric paints and more acrylics. The last step was to add the writing with a black Sharpie. (Practicing my French.)
I have enjoyed everybody's fabric entries, they're so creative !
Really nice work, pretty too!
This piece is so creative and beautiful and I wish I could dream like this! Great job!
Love your cherries and the imaginative way you did the background.
Wonderful!
