A hot topic in my yahoo groups is coming up with a word of intent for the new year and my word is EMERGE. I want to emerge as an artist and share my work with the world and just "get it out there". I have always been very introverted regarding my art and this is my year to come out of the closet! You'll probably recognize the idea as coming from the book "Stitch Alchemy". But now that I've made my first batch of paper-cloth and first mini-quilt, I feel I can do anything! Here is the description:
Base is painted canvas with collaged paper-cloth stitched on top. Paper-cloth letters are stitched on. Collage elements include paper napkin with egg design stamped F-L-Y, tissue paper, tulle, doilies and paper ephemera.
