This piece could be called many things, including, Time Flies, but I chose Forever Young in honor of my little sister, Julie, the sassy blonde in the art piece. I needed to make this piece in memory of Julie, who died of cancer this past summer. She was only 45 years old and will truly be forever young in our hearts.
The piece is 4" x 4" and I used many pieces of found objects and little trinkets that I had tossed in my box of "good things." The border on which the gears of time travel is actually half of an old zipper. Although time has stopped for Julie, she will live forever in our hearts.
We all miss you Julie!!
