Functional mixed media skull

As I prefer to create things that are not only eye catching but also useful, I've created this Dia de los Muertos "shrine".  Made of papier mache, acrylic paints and outliner, Fimo clay, flowers from a lei, etc. this piece is not only 3 dimensional but purposeful. The skull is mounted to a 4×4 canvas board, which in turn is mounted to an Altoids tin.  This then is mounted to a 6×6 board.  The front board opens to reveal a sweet storage spot for mementos and photos of departed loved ones.  If that isn't why you might like this, it can also simply be used as art to hang on the wall and hide an extra set of keys!  I really enjoyed making this.  I hope it intrigues someone.
