Love My Machines

I recently spent a few hours without electricity due to a fallen tree in my
neighborhood. As I sat in the dark quiet, I was overwhelmed by the sound of
nothing running. I realized how much my machines are a part of my life. While
the silence was peaceful, it also reminded me of how much I depend on all these
noise makers. One of my favorites is my washing machine. While mine is white, my
fantasy machine would be colorful and fun. This fantasy portrait is my ode to
this wonderful machine.
