I began by scanning pieces of wood that I had collected from the beach. I printed this picture onto fabric and then machine embroidered the background. I applied layers of sheer fabric, pieces of lace, printed fabric, wool tops and a piece of netting with both machine and hand stitching. I programmed my new sewing machine to stitch to words. Lastly I scanned the bather from an old sewing book, used ATP to transfer and embellished her with hand embroidary. I satin stitched the piece to the postcard.
