I started with a blue linen fabric, stencilled through a crocheted doily and stamped with a metal spice tin using Pebeo Setacolor paints, and then freehand painted the circles using Lumiere metallic acrylic paint, using various household objects as a guide for the size of the circles. I left the fold lines and creases in the fabric as I liked the random way they disturbed the line of the paint. My inspiration was the surface of a pond with dragonflies and little creatures skimming across the surface. This is the first piece like this I have ever done, it was so much fun!

I admired your swatch when it was first uploaded online and very happy to say that I received a square here in Bethel, CT.
