Pre research of rust dyeing. Starting with white polyester I used a flesh tone acrylic paint to dye it a light shade and then splattered deeper shades on top for contrast. Spread material out on deck and randomly laid out nails, washers, and screw nuts on top. After 5 days of spritzing with 50/50 mixture of water/vinegar I washed and dried material. Then using the knobs of water spigots I stamped a floral-like pattern overall.
This is so interesting, I would never think of this in a million years!
