Title: Swan's Gate Painted Lady

Inspiration:
Welcome to my special place. This little cottage was created as a tribute to the tiny Victorian camp cottages in Oak Bluff, Martha's Vineyard, MA and Ocean Grove, NJ. My great grandmother at one time owned one of the Oak Bluff cottages. The swan design is  based on the Aesop's Fable Gingerbread on the Deacon Palmer house in Noank CT. The Chinese fortunes are a reminder that art like life is a grand experiment. The magenta swans reflect my preferred userid; magentaswan.

Media:
The paper cottage was designed using Adobe Illustrator and cut on my Craft Robo die cutting machine. The cottage was decorated using Copic Markers and Airbrush, Gilder's Paste, Golden's Gel Medium, white and gold gel pens,  and two Copic black liners (.03 and .005). The roof was cut from an acrylic gelatin print. The cottage is decorated both on the inside and the outside. And of course the text is from fortune cookie fortunes.
