A 'Wild Wire' challenge entry: inspired by the wire cages used to hold chamagne corks tight, I created these whimsical wire fairies. A mixed-media delight, nothing was off-limits. The bodies and heads are shaped of polymer clay, the skirts are comprised of a mix of paper foliage, fabric and ribbon scraps, wire, beads and found objects. Acrylic paints, stamps and inks were also used. Small springs even found their way into this creation!
