This is a 72-page altered datebook. Eight sections contain different color schemes and topics. Some pages have journal writing while others are altered and ready for a quiet moment at a coffee shop, bookstore, park, or at home. It was really difficult to select just three photos to submit as there is so much to see in this journal. Little surprises are found throughout the journal including pockets, tags and windows.
When I set out to alter this book, I decided to only work with materials that I had on hand. I have a collection of painted papers that I made that came in handy for designing images like the hand and hearts above. In some cases I used the actual painted papers and in other areas I used colored photo copies.
Here is an example of a journal page that is ready for some journal writing. A whimsical box is a sweet place for a quote or journal prompt. Curved lines make writing in the book fun. Interested in seeing a few more pages? Visit my blog at www.truenortharts.com
