This three-strand necklace combines many materials to achieve maximum sparkle.

My goal was to create a “wow!” reaction when someone wears it to a party or other public event.

Materials:

Handmade ceramic raku beads, handmade sari fabric beads with thread, handmade Angelina fiber beads, handmade paper beads with embossing powder and PearlEx pigments, faceted glass beads, gold plated round beads, copper beads, copper jump rings, aluminum jump rings, copper wire, copper sheet, Accuflex, Egyptian “pearls”

  1. Susan, you definitely accomplished the “wow” effect with that beautiful combination of colors and textures and definite sparkle.  I love the curliques on the bottom.. in fact I love the whole necklace. (Had to look up “bling”)

  2. In the hands of the artist, the variety of materials generate exhuberant energy. A fascinating piece of work which both reflects and projects the joie de vivre of creator and wearer.

  3. Wow indeed! I always wondered what “bling” meant, now I know!

The dynamic effect here is achieved by combining glossy reflective surfaces with a power-blue color theme. The beads are disparate yet cohesive and merge into a powerful, comprehensive presentation. A stunning, original, completely modern necklace!

  4. This is an exquisite piece.  Looks like it is made for a queen of some ancient culture.  Beautiful combination of shapes, colors, and textures.  This will make someone’s eyes sparkle!
