Leaves Falling

19" x 22"    Loom weaving is a passion and a promise in my life.  My sister-of-the-heart and brilliant engineer Cindy French and I came up with a looming system that allows us to do all sorts of nontraditional things with weaving, and it has been an amazing journey.  This piece has encaustic, needle felting, fabric paper, embroidery, crochet and even some traditional weaving, all done on the loom.  It also has some of my other great loves, paper and metal.  The border on the loomed piece is attached Kumihimo.  www.copperloom.com

Hand dyed fiber, threads and hand-made paper.  Block printed, marbled, tissue, copper wire, beads, wool, silk, cotton, linen, encaustic over fabric, hand embroidered, acrylic paint, oil sticks, copper leaf.  Cradled mat board under canvas.

  1. This is STUNNING!!   I am partial to anything with leaves and autumn tones, but this piece is absolutely gorgeous.   The colors are right on!!  This is the type of piece that makes me want to hold it and touch it.  Love it!!  Thanks so much for sharing!!
