Monotype print on BFK paper by Rose litsey

Monotype prints on BFK paper. Monotype is a printmaking process in which an image, pattern or color composition painted directly onto an individual plate is transferred to a sheet of printing paper, typically by using a printing press. The process results in a single unique impression that is painterly in feel yet has the deep intrinsic beauty of a print. Flexibility, simplicity and openness to chance effects are the overriding features of monotypes.
Pure psychic automatism is where we start our thoughts before working on canvas, paper, glass or clay. The key to bringing our work of art to completion is we know when to stop. See more works at: By Rose Litsey at http://www.artsdirectgallery.com   Monotype Print #7. 22in. x 28in. on BFK paper
