Moonlight Sew-nata 1

Dimension: 9.75" x 9.75" (on 5/8" deep birch panel)

Background: An original watercolor painting I scanned & printed on matte photo paper. I added bold color & texture with acrylic paint, then layered on tiny hand-cut fabric leaves using soft gel medium.

Foreground: Machine sewn fabric & Japanese origami paper to serve as comfy sofa & cute pillows. I used a combination of Crayola's Shaper Paper, Ranger's Sticky-Back Canvas (stuffed with cotton balls) & adhered everything with flexible molding paste. Tiny picture frame is an actual beeswax collage with torn tissue paper, hung by a teeny sequin "nail".

I thoroughly enjoyed making the little ball of yarn & fashioning it with 2 knitting needles (aka toothpicks).
