I made this journal box from an old photo album that I recycled, using foamcore I built up the side to make it more box like, and covered the entire box with handmade paper I made myself using my junk mail. The angels are made from the same handmade paper and a mold I had lying around. The entire box is sealed several times and has a hard glossy finish. I kept the embelishments to a minium as I wanted an aged look. A little green paint and a tiny bit of glitter dust.
