On The Way Home

Fused and stitched polyethylene, wrapped on board.  

Several large layers make the base "fabric"… small pieces are cut and fuse-collaged.  Although it looks quilted, stitching is not necessary to hold it together, but used as the outlining "pop" which totally pulls it together. The title was chosen because "on the way home" from my travels I see structures, windows, doors, signs, fences, railroad tracks, streetlights, traffic lights, garden plots, crosswalks …
