This piece was created by first unevenly layering silk yarn, acrylic yarn, wool yarn, ribbon, and organza in between soluble stabilizer. After it was stitched heavily, wool roving fibers were punched onto the top. I then dissolved the stabilizer and added crystals for light and movement when it was finished. The piece hangs from a branch.

  1. Beautiful piece. I am not familiar with “soluble stabilizer”. What exactly is this and how it is used?

I just love the color and texture of this piece. Well done…
