A rural/agricultural county that borders the Gulf of Mexico is where I live and work. My imagery comes from the world around me. A mild/semi tropical climate offers lush vegetation and waters that team with creatures.
This image measures 14 x 19 x 1 1/2 inches. Constructed on wood substrate the image wraps the sides, top and bottom.
Papers used were Archers print paper, tracing paper, book pages, and hand made paper. Wood cut relief and wood cut reduction methods were printed on a press with oil based inks. Other techniques and media used were stenciling, acrylics and charcoal. The entire piece was sealed with beeswax.
Close ups are of print on handmade paper and pooling wax.
